El Matador Beach - A great spot for strolling around some of Southern California's most stunning coastal formations, sunbathing, and admiring the breathtaking sunset views.
Point Dume State Beach - Great for a quick stop or a walk along the beach. You can park on the sand and enjoy the views.
Malibu Surfrider Beach - This beach is connected to Malibu Pier and is the best spot for watching surfers and enjoying the sunset. Don’t forget to check out Malibu Farm while you’re there.
Paradise Cove - The best local spot. Rental chairs are available, as well as a great restaurant and beach bar.
Hiking
Point Dume Cove Trail - This is a very scenic hike that takes about one hour to get from the top of the cliff at Point Dume down to the beach. Depending on the tides, you may be able to walk the beach to the pier at Paradise Cove.
Solstice Canyon - Leading into the Santa Monica mountains, this trail is a 3-mile loop where you can enjoy a waterfall and natural pools. It is considered moderate difficulty and an elevation gain of 800 feet.
Malibu Lake Vista Trail - This trail leads to stunning views of Malibu Lake. It is 1.1 miles in length and an elevation gain of 302 feet. The trail leads to an overlook with panoramic views of the lake.
